Q: I am new and lost. Where do I start?
A: First, read 'help newhelp' and type 'read guide' to study your tourist guide. Then look at the room you are currently in. A newly created character will always start in Entrance to Adventurers Guild (G) in the area of Adventurers Guild. Going north from that room will take you into our mud school. If you have moved away from that room, type 'recall' and go up. Look at the room descriptions and signs carefully and follow instructions to learn how to train, combat and use shops.

Q: I seemed to have lost my Newbie Guide book. Where can I get a new one?
A: See 'help guide'.

Q: I'm in mud school and how do I get out of the cages?
A: Scan for the Adept, find him, and go down from that room.

Q: Where can I get a newbie bag or a starter kit?
A: To load basic equipment, type 'outfit'. This command only works for characters of level five and below. To get a clan sponsored newbie bag that contains a full set of equipment, type 'who crusader active' or 'who cabal active', and send one of them a tell.

Q: How do I find equipment to wear?
A: You can either get equipment by killing mobs or buying them from shops. To locate a piece of equipment that's best suitable for your build, check out the equipment search engine on Iwuvaard.org (http://www.ipdaily.net).

Q: Where do I train and practice after mud school?
A: At your class guild. You are automatically a member of the guild for your primary class. Type 'read page1' to see page 1 of your tourist guide for directions to your guild.

Q: Where do I go to kill mobs after mud school?
A: The Mobdeaths command is your best friend. See 'help mobdeaths'. Read page6 of your guide for areas to explore, too, after mud school; but yes, mobdeaths is still your best friend.

Q: Where do I sell stuff?
A: Read page 2 of your tourist guide for directions to general stores in Aylor. Shopkeepers will buy the same kind of merchandize that they sell. To find a shopkeeper who will buy a wider variety of goods, try clan shops. For more information, see 'help sell'.

Q: Can someone give me a spellup?
A: No. Everyone on the newbie channel is either a newbie or a helper. Newbies don't have powerful spells to provide you, and helpers are not allowed to. Please ask on barter or gossip for one.

Q: Where do I find speedwalks and maps?
A: See 'help www' for a list of websites where you can find Aardwolf related resources.

Q: What stats should I train?
A: Read 'help <class name>' to see what your primary and secondary stats are. As a newbie, you should always maximize your primary and secondary stats, and use the remaining training sessions to balance out all the other stats. Do not train hp, mana or moves.

Q: Can I get a corpse retrieval?
A: Certainly and always. Just ask on the newbie channel. :) (However, you might consider retrieving the corpse by yourself if there are no aggressive mobs along the way. Your corpse will be in the room you died, and will certainly remain there for a time more than enough for you to get to it. As said, if there are aggressive mobs along the way, we are more than willing to do a corpse retrieval.)

Q: How do I retrieve my stuff from my corpse?
A: Type 'get all corpse' when you are at your corpse. However, you would not be able to take items that you cannot detect. For example, if you cannot detect invis, invisible items will be left in your corpse. A quick way to check if there are items in your corpse is to sacrifice the corpse. If there are items in the corpse, sacrifice would not be allowed.

Q: Is there a quick way to wear back all my equipment after retrieval?
A: Yeah. Type 'wear all'. Thereafter, type 'equipment' (or 'equ', for short) to check if the items on you are the desired items that you want to wear. If not, the other items should be in your inventory.

Q: Where do I get food and drink?
A: See page2 of your tourist guide for directions to the bakery where you can buy food. There's a fountain 2s from recall where you can get water. You can also try fountains at clan halls. They usually contain milk or some sort juice, which is much better than plain water, since they satisfy hunger and thirst at the same time, but of course - after a few gulps ;)

Q: I die a lot. What should I do?
A: See 'help flee', 'help wimpy', and 'help consider'. Also, stats are very important in Aardwolf. They affect gameplay very drastically. Read 'help stats'.

Q: What's the fastest way to regen?
A: Sleep at a healer on a piece of furniture.

Q: Where do you get a garbage can and what does it do?
A: A garbage can is a portal to the room called The Grand City of Aylor, which is the recall point for not clanned players. It's better than using the Recall command, because portals don't cost you movement points. You can get a garbage can from the garbage mob in Lowlands Paradise, which has a maximum level lock of 5. If you are above level 5, you can ask to buy one on the barter channel.

Q: How do you use a portal, like a garbage can?
A: See 'help enter'.

Q: My screen is so spammy. How do I stop that?
A: See 'help spamreduce'.
