Help Damage


Syntax: damage          : Shows damage options and current setting.
        damage <number> : Sets a listed damage option.

The '
damage' command allows you to change the way damage messages are 
displayed to you. You can combine all hits per round of combat and see 
either a total or the average. You can also combine hits per damage type
and view much smaller simplified damage message.

The full list of damage settings available is:

   
0 - Regular damage output. One line per hit.
   
1 - Total damage per round of combat - regular damage output.
   
2 - Total damage per round of combat - basic damage output.
   
3 - Average damage per round of combat - regular damage output.
   
4 - Average damage per round of combat - basic damage output.
   
5 - Total damage per round of combat - very short basic output.
   
6 - Total per round for each damage type - regular output.

Known Issues:

There are some areas in the MUD where damage settings are not fully
respected yet. Listing those here so they don't get repeatedly posted as
bugs:


* Immunity messages and complete misses don't combine.

* Charge does not combine. This is a big one for some people - the
  skill needs to be rewritten to do damage in a different order. This will
  get fixed.

* Counter strike or similar 'reflected' damage does not combine.

* Auto-damage stuff like Gaias and Test of Faith, Counter-Strike etc
  is not combined. This one will be fixed.

* Reciting a scroll with multiple attack spells will show the combined
  damage as if it were just a single spell unless damage type is 6.

* Special stuff like rainbow and prismatic spray is not combined.
